Windows then tells me it has detected new hardware i. Windows is still running, however. I was able to un-install the driver but when I re-install it following a re-boot under normal mode, the screen goes blank again. I kept researching this issue, and most of the time the recommendation was to perform a Windows re-installation, since as long as VGA mode works then it is more likely a software issue. Again successful and no blank screen this time round when booting directly on the Windows XP machine.

Assuming your PC manufacturer has you create a floppy designed to flash the PC bios, you can fairly easily make a change to the logo displayed. In following the directions to create the BIOS boot disk, simply replace the included logo. Copy your logo. This converts the logo.

The problem persisted. I pilled the card and used the "on board" graphics and the problem went away. Do you know some you could borrow a video card from to test with? Although screen is blank, i could still navigate "blind". Starting windows and shutting it down are about the only things i can do blindfolded. I know its not frozen though because I can type in "start" "u" "enter" to get it to shut down once it logs on to windows. But if I try to boot into safe mode or VGA mode, the computer freezes up. After purchasing the program, you'll get a download link from Wondershare. Download and install it on a good-working computer.
