Microsoft removed it. This post never said it brought back the classic windows update, only that it adds a link to windows update in control panel, which kinda makes your comment look silly.

Also I don't like not having control as to what and when to install updates. Microsoft, please go back to allowing customer what and when to install updates.

Because Settings doesn't work, because opening Windows Update from the Search does not work. So we are trying to find a way to update this broken Windows 10 operating system in hopes that there is an update out already that will fix some things. Rohit Siddegowda started on. We are aware of an issue with Windows 10 that can cause the Settings app to not launch, or launch the Store instead of Settings.
