The designers at Adobe have made it easy to edit your designs, all with the same Pen tool. You may have noticed that the Pen cursor changes when you move it over certain objects. If you place the Pen on a path, it turns into the Add Anchor Point tool, and if it's on an anchor point, it turns into the Delete Anchor Point tool. After that, all you have to do is click. At a minimum, each of these paths have an anchor point on each end, and there may be some stray anchor points as well.
Strays aren't linked to the larger path, and they're usually created when you delete a segment at one end of the design. Illustrator will select all of the stray anchor points, and then you can press the Delete key to remove them. Search Search. The Bezier tool allows you to create a type of curve defined by off-curve control handles.
A Bezier curve is a type of curve defined by additional off-curve control handles and were originally developed for computer modeling in automotive design, but are popular in many vector drawing applications. A Bezier curve generally follows the shape of the defining polygon. The convex hull property for a Bezier curve ensures that the polynomial smoothly follows the control points. No straight line intersects a Bezier curve more times than it intersects its control polygon.
To create the arc path shown in Fig. This will create a "Control Line" with a Control Handle". Next you will click point B dragging the Control Handle to the left.
Holding the shift key will constrain the dragging motion in a horizontal plane. Now we will distort the arc's path Fig. The active anchor point B is solid and the inactive anchor point A is an empty box. When you release your dragging motion the new shape will appear. Technical Note: If the stoke or path is not active you can re-activate it while in the Pen tool mode by holding the Command key while clicking anywhere along the stroke.
We will now add a third anchor point C to our diagonal line path in Fig. By clicking this cursor along the path you will create a new anchor point. When we add a third anchor point to Fig.
